Acta Palaeomedica. International Journal of Palaeomedicine, è una rivista del FAPAB Research Center (Avola, Italia) diretta dal prof. Francesco M. Galassi, che accoglie studi e saggi soggetti a double-blind peer review process.
I temi principali sono: paleopatologia, paleopatografia, storia della medicina, bioarcheologia, antropologia fisica e forense, tafonomia e studi sul DNA antico.
The first issue of this journal aims to offer its new readership with a very interesting set of topics, ranging from the Black Death to family interrelations of Egyptian pharaohs, from the discovery of skeletons dated to the 4th century BC in Syracuse to the study of cranial trepanation in mummies in Cuba, and much more, including some book reviews.
